Start with the group
Four players form two partnerships. Use 32 cards, with eight ranks per suit. Partners face each other.
Follow the stages
In Pagat’s basic description, deal four cards each, bid, choose a hidden trump, then finish dealing. Each player has eight cards. Follow suit when possible; the trick winner leads next.
Keep the version together
Read the reference for reveal obligations, Pair declarations and settlement. The card-ranking reference explains strength and point values separately. Agree your table rules before keeping a match score.
